To deeply study and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening grassroots work and enhancing grassroots governance capacity, and to focus on improving the quality of grassroots cadres, elevating the level of grassroots governance, and promoting the modernization of the grassroots governance system and governance capabilities, the “2022 Zhuanghe City Training Workshop for Leading Officials of Townships (Subdistricts) and Municipal Departments, Guided by Party Building for Grassroots Governance,” hosted by the Municipal Party Committee’s Organization Department and the Municipal Party School, officially commenced on the morning of August 1st on the second floor south of the Municipal Party School. This training workshop will last for three days, and a total of 30 leading officials from selected townships (subdistricts) and municipal departments are participating in the program.

Wang Zhiyong, a member of the Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Organization, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a mobilization speech. Zhang Xueqian, a member of the Municipal Party Committee’s Organizational Department’s leading group, also attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by Sun Weidong, Executive Vice President of the Municipal Party School.

Wang Zhiyong emphasized that advancing the modernization of grassroots governance systems and governance capacity is an important task in fully building a modern socialist country, as well as a key mission for the current and coming period. During this training, participants should focus on the following three points: First, they must deeply study and thoroughly grasp the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on grassroots governance; second, they must fully recognize the current risks and challenges and make great efforts to enhance their capabilities in grassroots governance; third, taking the “Year of Strengthening Cadre Work Style” campaign as an opportunity, they must genuinely forge a solid and robust work style.

This training course focuses on two key aspects: theoretical education and capacity building. It fully leverages the online educational resources of the Party School system and invites external expert professors to deliver a total of six courses, including “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,” “Embarking on a New Journey to Achieve the Second Centenary Goal—Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee,” “Building a New Pattern of Modern Social Governance Based on Joint Construction, Joint Governance, and Shared Benefits, and Enhancing the Level of Social Development,” “Strengthening and Innovating Social Governance,” “Enhancing the Capacity to Prevent and Resolve Major Risks in the Fight Against COVID-19,” and “Effectively Improving the Rule-of-Law Level of Social Governance at the Municipal Level.” These courses are designed to guide and assist participants in mastering new ideas and approaches for grassroots governance, broadening their horizons, and enhancing their comprehensive governance capabilities.

The participants unanimously expressed their determination to cherish this rare learning opportunity, putting what they’ve learned into practice and integrating knowledge with action. They pledged to transform the new theories and knowledge they’ve acquired into fresh ideas and innovative measures for fulfilling their duties and responsibilities, thereby making positive contributions to better accomplishing all tasks related to grassroots social governance in our city and promoting high-quality development of Zhuanghe. They also vowed to achieve outstanding results in welcoming the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
