Hongxing City has achieved coordinated development across multiple industries.

According to the “14th Five-Year Plan” of Zhuanghe City, Zhuanghe City aims to develop into a major commercial port along the northern Yellow Sea, serving as a hub that radiates both the Northeast Asia region and the hinterland of Northeast China. To achieve this goal, Zhuanghe City will continue to advance the construction of berths in the Jiangjunshi Operation Area of the Zhuanghe Port Zone, further expand port openness, dredge navigation channels, enhance port functions, elevate the port’s status, launch both international and domestic shipping routes, build a maritime route network, and boost the port’s development space. By 2025, Zhuanghe City will have completed more than 16 berths capable of handling vessels ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 tons, specializing in cold-chain logistics, waste and scrap material handling, heavy-lift cargo transportation, imported timber, international roll-on/roll-off passenger services, and land-island transportation, with an annual cargo throughput reaching 13 million tons. Additionally, Zhuanghe City will establish a hinterland logistics zone to support projects closely linked to port logistics. The city will also improve its land-island transportation system and steadily advance the construction of land-island transportation terminals on islands including Wangjia Houtan, Shoulong Island, Haili Island, Shuangshi Island, and Hei Island.
