As the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army approaches, Shen Shoubó, Secretary of the Zhuanghe Municipal Party Committee; Sun Gongli, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Li Yongxiang, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Yu Decai, Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference; and Wang Qing, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee—along with other municipal leaders—visited and extended heartfelt greetings to the officers and soldiers stationed in Zhuanghe and to some veteran veterans, carrying with them the deep affection of the city’s residents for the stationed troops and their sincere care for the elderly veterans.

On July 29, Shen Shoubó, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, visited and extended greetings to veterans receiving preferential treatment as well as officers and soldiers stationed in Zhuang. He conveyed the care and concern of the Party and the government and offered them festive greetings. At the home of Yang Qingzhi, an elderly veteran receiving preferential treatment, Shen Shoubó had a warm and friendly conversation with the elder, learning in detail about his military career and presenting him with a condolence payment. Upon learning that Yang Qingzhi, who is now 92 years old, is in good health and leading a happy life, Shen Shoubó told the elder: “You are meritorious veterans who have made outstanding contributions to the country. The Party and the people will never forget your sacrifices.” He urged the elder to take good care of his health and enjoy a happy, peaceful, and fulfilling retirement. Afterwards, Shen Shoubó and his delegation entered the barracks of a certain unit stationed in Zhuang, where they carefully inspected the construction status of the military camp, engaged in cordial conversations with the officers and soldiers, and donated gifts of comfort to the troops. He expressed gratitude for the contributions the stationed troops have made to local development, and highly praised their dedication over the years—regarding Zhuanghe as their second hometown and actively participating in local economic development and maintaining social harmony. He hoped that the troops would continue to provide full support for the construction and development of Zhuanghe and promote the further integration of the military and civilian communities.

On July 30, Sun Gongli, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, visited and extended greetings to the officers and soldiers of the Municipal People's Armed Forces Department as well as to veteran Wang Changfu, offering them festive blessings and heartfelt gratitude. At the Municipal People's Armed Forces Department, Sun Gongli expressed his appreciation for the officers and soldiers’ longstanding contributions to maintaining regional stability and harmony, safeguarding local economic development, and ensuring a peaceful and prosperous life for the people. He also presented them with gifts of condolence. Sun Gongli urged all officers and soldiers to continue upholding their spirit of political steadfastness and their determination to win every battle, further strengthening the bonds between the military, government, and the people. He encouraged them to excel in disaster relief, recruitment, and other critical tasks, thereby continuing to make greater contributions to local security, stability, and economic development. Afterwards, Sun Gongli and his delegation went to Haiyang Village in Chengguan Subdistrict to visit and offer condolences to 92-year-old veteran Wang Changfu, a veteran of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea. At the veteran’s home, Sun Gongli took detailed notes on the elderly man’s living conditions and family situation, and conveyed the care and concern of the Party and the government to him. Sun Gongli emphasized that the outstanding contributions made by veterans like Wang Changfu to the nation’s cause and development will always be remembered by both the Party and the people. He wished the veteran good health, a long life, and a happy retirement.

On July 28, Li Yongxiang, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, accompanied by officials from relevant departments, visited and extended greetings to the officers and soldiers of the Zhuanghe Platoon of the Dalian Detachment of the Armed Police, as well as to veteran Zhang Baoxian, a recipient of preferential treatment. At the Zhuanghe Platoon of the Dalian Detachment of the Armed Police, Li Yongxiang had a warm and friendly conversation with the officers and soldiers, carefully inquiring about their living conditions and training routines, and presented them with gifts of condolence. Li Yongxiang emphasized that while diligently carrying out their training, the armed police officers and soldiers have also actively served the local community, providing strong support for the social stability of our city and ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property. They have made outstanding contributions to local development and construction. Li Yongxiang expressed his heartfelt gratitude to them and extended festive greetings. Afterwards, Li Yongxiang paid a visit to veteran Zhang Baoxian, who is already 83 years old this year, and presented him with a sum of condolence money, conveying the care and concern of the Party and the government. He also extended festive greetings and best wishes to the veteran. During their conversation, Li Yongxiang showed great concern for the veteran’s health and daily life, urging him to take good care of himself. He instructed the heads of the relevant departments accompanying him to ensure that all necessary measures were taken to provide adequate living support for the veteran, enabling him to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable retirement.

On July 27, Yu Decai, Chairman of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, visited and extended greetings to all officers and soldiers at the Huayangkou Workstation of the Dalian Detachment, Liaoning Branch, of the Armed Police Marine Police Corps, as well as to retired veteran Xie Zhenyu. Upon entering the workstation, Yu Decai warmly shook hands and had cordial conversations with the troops, gaining a detailed understanding of their living conditions and the integration of military and civilian efforts. They shared heartfelt sentiments, discussed the development of both the military and local communities, and expressed sincere gratitude for the troops’ continuous contributions to local development and stability. Yu Decai also presented the troops with gifts of condolence. Later, at the home of retired veteran Xie Zhenyu, Yu Decai had a warm and friendly conversation with him, carefully inquiring about his current living situation and listening attentively to his stories from his military career. Yu Decai thanked him for his active contributions to the country and to the armed forces, and instructed the heads of relevant departments accompanying him to ensure that the veteran’s living needs were fully met. Yu Decai presented the elderly veteran with a sum of condolence money and heartfelt blessings, reminding him to take good care of his health.

On July 28, Wang Qing, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, visited the Guanjia Mountain Community in Changsheng Subdistrict and paid a visit to veteran Wang Yongkuan. Born in 1926, Mr. Wang Yongkuan joined the army in 1948 and participated in battles including the Liaoshen Campaign, earning numerous meritorious awards throughout his military service. At Mr. Wang Yongkuan’s home, Wang Qing warmly shook hands and chatted with the elderly veteran, carefully inquiring about his living conditions. He instructed the heads of the relevant departments accompanying him to ensure that the veteran’s living needs were fully met, helping him promptly overcome any difficulties he might face and enabling him to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable retirement. Afterwards, Wang Qing presented the veteran with a condolence payment and heartfelt blessings, reminding him to take good care of his health.

On the eve of the August 1st Army Day, Cui Xiaodong, a member of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, and Chang Sheng, a member of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the People’s Armed Forces Department, separately visited and extended greetings to the troops stationed in Zhuang and to veteran soldiers.
